Good Life Starts Where?

Quite amazing, that’s the exact word to describe my school. Yes I know. We are not popular as DLSU, FEU or UP do. I can’t also say that our school is that beautiful. In fact, we only have three branches, in San Francisco near SM North, in San Bartolome and here in Batasan. We can’t also afford to buy such expensive uniforms, but we are not going to school to gain fame, to have an expensive uniform or to be elegant. Our parents sent us here to study hard and to make ourselves a responsible individual. I’m so lucky to be sent in school to give me a chance for a better future.

Changing our future by studying in college is the best way to reach our goal. “Good life starts here.” I saw that phrase a lot of times, but I don’t know what does it means. Last week, we have celebrated our 21st anniversary, or our foundation day. I just thought, Quezon City Polytechnic University has been founded 21 years ago. So in my estimation, it might really have changed people’s lives! But to be honest, I didn’t like our foundation day. Maybe I’ve expected a lot because I’m just a first year student, but our school didn’t reach my classmate’s expectation too. I can only say that some of the students became happy because there’s some entertainment here like dancing and singing. We also have a contest there that they called “QCPU the Voice”. There’s a booth who sells snacks, cologne and bargained clothes. But do you know what booth trends there? It’s the Jail Booth. If you’ve been caught by the QCPU Basketball players, they will put you onto their jail and you need someone to pay ten pesos for you! It sucks! But honestly, it’s the most interesting booth there.

Pushing my own mind and body to participate in that kind of day won’t happen again. Then after celebrating our University Day, we are back to normal. It’s just like that nothing happened a few days ago. I don’t know why but it doesn’t really have any impact for my classmates. But maybe, QCPU don’t want to emphasize delayed projects or events so that they are not talking about that now. We are also preparing for our final project that’s why they aren’t wasting anytime. We have our formal dance and investigatory project. This school really wants their students suffering on their studies. They are also giving group projects and activities, are they that confident that everybody will help? What do you think was the reason that they are giving such projects?

Unity, it is. They are helping us to be more productive right? So they are giving us way to socialize and interact with each other. Quezon City Polytechnic University helps their students to be responsible, kind, talented, intelligent and to have unity. Look, we are now taking our road to success, so we have to practice ourselves to be a good and productive person. We are the only key for the success of this country, so let’s give our best for this school, because good life starts in the first letters in every paragraph of this blog. By the way, I’m Kristian Cabrera, 19 years old. I’m not trying to be tough or to be smart, I also don’t know everything, but I knew how to live with others. Again this is just an idea of simple student who lives and studies in this complex world of ours.
